The Heart of Texas Great Dane Club is licensed by the American Kennel Club enabling us to hold Great Dane Specialty shows and we are proudly the 50th Affiliate member of the Great Dane Club of America. The Heart of Texas Great Dane Club and the Great Dane Club of America both serve to educate and support owners and breeders of the dog breed known variously as the Great Dane, Grand Danois, Deutsche Dogge, or German Mastiff.
Our Club meets on the
second Tuesday of every month, although an exception occurs in August when we have our annual summer picnic. In December we hold our Holiday party.
All meetings are posted on this site. Our meetings consist of discussions of club business, planning for Dane-oriented events, announcements of interest to Dane owners, educational presentations or group discussions, and a time to socialize with other Dane owners. Everyone is invited to join us at a meeting providing they hold a sincere interest in Great Danes and the preservation of ethical breeding and ownership.
Our membership is composed of not only those people interested in the dog show arena, both conformation and performance, but also to those owners of companion dogs and rescue dogs. We welcome, and encourage, fanciers of the breed to join us at our meetings and freely participate
